Andrew S. Higgins is the author of Higher Education for All: Racial Inequality, Cold War Liberalism, and the California Master Plan (UNC Press, 2023) and the editor of From the Free Speech Movement to the Factory Floor: A Collective History of the International Socialists (Haymarket Books, March 31 2026).
Higgins earned his PhD in US history from the University of California at Davis. His third book will explore the history of interracial cooperation and conflict in the social movements of the long 1960s.
